mark's comments on Threesome Series 1 & 2 Mark Spybey & Ambre - Sfumato Mick Harris & Mark Spybey - Bad Roads, Young Drivers Devilishly clever idea, get three groups of musicians together but the whole threesome never actually produce anything collectively as a unit. I made sounds that Ambre worked on. They did the lions share. All projects were done through the mail. Mick sent pieces to me that sounded remarkably finished, so I dissected them and added tracks of my own. I genuinely like both of these cd's and I am very proud of the Mick collaboration. I pushed his sounds through some of Niels' old synths and used Edwards wavestation to supply a lot of sounds. I had lot‚s of fun doing this record and I worked solidly on it for a couple of months, doing essentially a 9-5 on it when I lived in Holland. I can remember the strained look of tourists as I blasted Mick's beats out of the studio window. Often I would work for hours under the cover of headphones as the Pink Dots recorded. Very creative time for me. back to Sfumato, Bad Roads,Young Drivers back to the releases
