mark's comments on Dead Voices on Air Hafted Maul I sent a tape to Martin Atkins, who called me several months later and said yes. This was new material that I'd been working on,I guess in late '93 or early '94.I went for a more eclectic sound.Through jamming with cEvin and Dwayne I discovered contact microphones that I liberally affixed to my stringed instruments.I'd started to do small pieces of art, paper collages. The sleeve cover is actually a ripped up cosmetics ad that I pasted over with sheets of buff coloured tracing paper.Mark Pilon spent a great deal of time on the cover, taking small sections from photographs that I gave him.The pigeons are from a photograph of my Brother and I taken in London's Trafalgar Sqaure in 1965.If anyone has a copy of Invisibles promo disc I'd gladly trade handsomely for it.I gave all mine away.It had the whole Trafalgar Square photograph on it and some writing. back to Hafted Maul back to the releases |
